SmileFam BLU is an at-home teeth whitening system powered by BLU Technology — a peroxide-free whitening formula. The kit includes a wireless LED Accelerator Device, BLU Snow Serum whitening pens, and a wireless charging kit. BLU Technology refers to our PAP-based whitening formula combined with the BLU LED Accelerator Device. PAP (Phthalimidoperoxycaproic Acid) is a peroxide-free whitening compound that targets stain molecules on enamel without producing free radicals — which is the primary cause of tooth sensitivity in hydrogen peroxide-based products. The LED device accelerates the formula for faster results.
No. SmileFam BLU does not use hydrogen peroxide as a whitening agent. The active whitening compound is PAP (Phthalimidoperoxycaproic Acid). Our full ingredient list is: Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, 12% PAP (Phthalimidoperoxycaproic Acid), Hydroxyapatite, Carbomer, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Menthol, Xylitol.
Results vary depending on your starting shade, diet habits (coffee, tea, red wine), and how consistently you use the kit. In customer surveys, most users report visible improvement after their first session, with more significant whitening — typically 3–5 shades — developing over 7 days of daily use. We do not guarantee a specific number of shades as results are individual.
The formula has been independently lab-tested. PAP does not produce free radicals and does not penetrate enamel the way hydrogen peroxide does. The formula also contains Hydroxyapatite, which supports enamel remineralization. We recommend using as directed — one 10-minute session per day. SmileFam BLU whitens natural enamel only. It will not change the shade of crowns, veneers, bonding, or implants. The product is safe to use around dental restorations, but only the natural enamel will be affected. Yes. SmileFam BLU is cruelty-free — no animal testing is conducted at any stage of product development or manufacturing. The formula contains no animal-derived ingredients and is suitable for vegans.
How to Use It

Step 1: Brush your teeth as normal first.
Step 2: Twist the BLU whitening pen until the gel appears at the tip, then apply directly to your upper and lower teeth. This takes about 20 seconds.
Step 3: Insert the BLU wireless LED Accelerator into your mouth and leave for 10 minutes.
Step 4: Remove, rinse briefly, and you're done.
Avoid eating or drinking (except water) for 30 minutes after each session. Most customers do this while getting dressed, making coffee, or watching TV.
For the initial whitening phase, once daily for 7–10 days is recommended. For maintenance after that, 2–3 times per week is sufficient to keep results locked in — especially if you regularly consume coffee, tea, or red wine. Do not exceed once per day.
Each BLU Snow Serum whitening pen provides approximately 15 sessions. The BLU Complete Kit includes 3 pens, giving you approximately 45 total sessions. The BLU LED Accelerator device is rechargeable and reusable — only the pens need replacing over time.
SmileFam BLU was specifically formulated for people with sensitive teeth. In our customer surveys, 78% of users reported zero sensitivity throughout their entire whitening protocol. For the small percentage who do experience any sensation, it is typically mild and temporary. Every SmileFam BLU kit comes with a 90-day Smile Guarantee. If you use the kit as directed and do not see visibly whiter teeth within 90 days of your purchase date, contact us for a full refund. We do not require before/after photos or extensive documentation — just email us within the 90-day window and we will process your refund.
Email support@getsmilefam.com with your order number and let us know you'd like to request a refund under our 90-day guarantee. Our team will respond within 1–2 business days and process your refund to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Yes. We accept returns within 90 days of purchase. For hygiene reasons, opened whitening pens are non-returnable, but the BLU LED device can be returned if unused or if there is a manufacturing defect. Contact us first at support@getsmilefam.com before sending anything back.
The BLU Wireless LED Accelerator is backed by a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects and device malfunction under normal use. It does not cover damage from misuse, dropping, or water damage beyond normal use. To make a warranty claim, email support@getsmilefam.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
If you experience any tooth sensitivity while using SmileFam BLU within your first 30 days, contact us for a full refund. This is separate from the 90-day results guarantee. BLU Technology is designed to be sensitivity-free for the vast majority of users, and we back that with our promise.
